A big Hello to all,

We are a team of young and energetic lawyers and techies and very much wish to formalise and establish a pirate party in Greece.

We do not wish to do so independently and would therefore like the assistance, guidance and ultimately blessing of the founders of the PP in Sweden and for that reason we start this thread.

We have our own ideas on how we may expand upon and assist the PP causes and are willing to travel to meet up in person in order to coordinate our efforts.

Any comments and advices will be very much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance for your assistance in this matter-

Nice to hear it! =)

info(at)piratpartiet.se is the e-mail adress for the officials, they can probably help you out. Rickard Falkvinge can be reached through rick.falkvinge(at)piratpartiet.se but that'll probably take longer.

Nice to hear indeed!

Also checkout PPI (http://www.pp-international.net/) and pp.international.general (http://lists.pirateweb.net/mailman/listinfo/pp.international.general). But be aware that, to my knowledge, not many of the Swedish pirates are active in those forums, so I guess your best bet to keep in touch with us is in this forum.

Many thanks John.

For particular advices where should I refer to? Can you help us with the details of setting up the party so that there is common ground between the Greek one and the Swedish one? Two questions that we have are is there is any commonality between the pirates parties around Europe, for example similar Articles of Incorporation as well as websites ?- the latter one especially is very important.

Again thank you for your advice-

GreekLawyer (2009-May-11)For particular advices where should I refer to?pp.int.general is supposed to be for international coordination, posting news about what is happening and that kind of stuff.

For general inqueries you should probably just post here. There is a large population of Swedish members (and non-members) active in this forum.

Can you help us with the details of setting up the party so that there is common ground between the Greek one and the Swedish one?

Most certainly. If you want to dicuss the finer details of various principles, feel free to just start threads on the topic in focus.

Two questions that we have are is there is any commonality between the pirates parties around Europe, for example similar Articles of Incorporation as well as websites ?- the latter one especially is very important.Similar, but also large differences. There was a project of compiling a joint manifesto. I guess it's this one (https://int.piratenpartei.de/Pirate_Manifesto). You also have the Swedish Pirate Parys declaration of priciples here (http://www.piratpartiet.se/documents/Principles%203.2.pdf).

For international discussion I think pp.international.general is the best starting point. But for anything related to the Swedish Pirate Party this forum is just fine.

To qoute Rickard Falkvinge you do not need any premission or blesing to set up at PP in Greece. It's individuals who makes PP and there are individuals who take decissions.

So go ahead register a PP in greece.
